Destined from birth to impact many lives. Born to Silas King and Patricia D. Lee, Donté grew through his adolescence years in a single parent home with his mother and brother following approximately 5 years behind.

As Donté grew older, though his mother who was a devout Christian “trained him up in the way that he should go”, not having a father around in his early stages eventually began to really impact his teen years. Before long, Donté, longing for approval and acceptance, drew him into a street life of gangs and drugs.

Although, his mother eventually married a great man in Pastor Scott Bond, there was early turbulence, and it showed throughout Donté’s life. After multiple arrest time spent in prison, the training in God’s Word began to sprout up from the root in this young man’s life. Making a vow to God to “live for Him”, Donté began ministering through song and counsel while still in prison.

Upon being released, Donté held fast to his promise to God and all his friends throughout the neighborhood could visibly see the change. After becoming a single Father himself, He eventually moved to Tennessee with his parents and began his pursuit of music, as Donté was a gifted songwriter.

Through, numerous life challenges, Donté came across an opportunity that would impact his heart forever! Working for a nonprofit that helped at-risk youth, his purpose was found! Since that day, God began training him for this journey while gradually giving him the vision for My D.R.E.A.M.S. Academy which was jointly launched with sister, Pastor Precious Collins and board of extraordinary support. If there was ever a story of “God can”, look no further. Donté M. Bond is a witness!
